TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Alabama Crimson Tide is still finding its identity.

It appears the 11th-ranked Crimson Tide (5-1, 3-0 SEC) is on its way to fulfilling its full potential in 2023-24, as it has won four straight games since the Week 2 loss to Texas.

The quarterback battle is finished — Jalen Milroe is the guy. But there's still plenty of competition going on in Tuscaloosa, including at left tackle.

True freshman Kadyn Proctor and redshirt freshman Elijah Pritchett have both seen some time on the offensive front. Head coach Nick Saban has seen both positives and negatives in both thus far this season.

"I think both guys have shown promise when they've played, and both guys have sort of had a few hiccups when they've played," Saban said. "But I think both guys have played well enough that there should be some consideration for them both playing at some position or splitting time at one position, however you want to look at it."

Both are young. And Saban realizes that as well.

"They're both young players, so their adaptability to do multiple things is probably something that will be a little bit of a work in progress."

Alabama hosts Arkansas (2-4, 0-3 SEC) on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN.
