The Arizona Cardinals’ defense is shaping up to be vastly improved next season when compared to 2023.
According to FoxSports.com senior national writer Peter Schrager, he announced that defensive tackle/lineman Justin Jones is going to sign a deal with Arizona.
“DT Justin Jones has agreed to terms with the Arizona Cardinals, per source,” Schrager said. “3 years, $30.1 million, $19.75 million.”

Jones was a third-round (84th overall) pick by the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2018 NFL Draft after playing for NC State.
From (2018-21), the New York native suited up for 51 games (36 starts) for the Chargers. There, he racked up 4.5 sacks, 118 tackles and 13 quarterback hits.
Then on March 18, 2022, the 27-year-old signed a two-year contract with the Chicago Bears and started all 34 games in the past two seasons. Jones recorded eight sacks, 101 tackles and defended eight passes.
Labeled as a defensive lineman, Jones can also fill in at tackle as well who can be another versatile fit for defensive coordinator Nick Rallis’ playbook.
Jones will be the third addition to Arizona’s defense so far in this year’s NFL Free Agency after Bilal Nichols and Sean Murphy-Bunting both reportedly agreed terms to separate three-year contracts on Monday.
