Jason Kelce admits he lost his Super Bowl ring in the most hilarious way

It took former Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl center Jason Kelce seven seasons to win his first Super Bowl, but now, he may remember that game for an entirely different — and amusing — reason.

Kelce disclosed on a recent episode of his “New Heights” podcast that he actually lost his Super Bowl ring in a pool of Skyline Chili during The Great Lombaby Games at the University of Cincinnati not that long ago.

“I legitimately lost my Super Bowl ring in this event,” Kelce said. “They could not find it. ... We have still yet to find it. … All of this stuff has now been thrown away, so I think we can safely assume that my Super Bowl ring is now in a landfill someplace in the Cincinnati tri-state area. I didn't think that would happen.”

The event Kelce referenced consisted of contestants diving into pools filled with Skyline Chili, spaghetti and cheese to retrieve socks that contained rings.

Kelce’s Super Bowl ring was the only real one in the three pools, but it was never found despite the use of a metal detector to try to locate the ring.

“We've already put the insurance claim in, which the insurance company might have some things to say about whether they're going to cover that,” Kelce said.

Jason’s brother Travis, an All-Pro tight end with the Kansas City Chiefs, appeared to be peeved by the entire situation.

“One hundred percent they’re going to [have an issue with your claim],” Travis said. “Especially if you’re going to tell the entire world how you lost it.”
